وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَىَّ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
Wa ka ayyim min qaryatin amlaitu lahaa wa hiya zaalimatun summa akhaztuhaa wa ilaiyal maseer
To many a town steeped in wrongdoing I gave more time and then struck them down: they all return to Me in the end.
How many a town I gave respite to while it persisted in wrongdoing — then I seized it. And to me is the final return.
