أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَلَّا يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَوْلًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا
Afalaa yarawna allaa yarji'u ilaihim qawlanw wa laa yamliku lahum darranw wa laa naf'aa
Did they not see that [the calf] gave them no answer, that it had no power to harm or benefit them?
Did they not see that it returned them no word, and held no power to harm them or benefit them?
