Surah Taha — 20:80

Yaa Baneee Israaa'eela qad anjainaakum min 'aduw wikum wa wa'adnaakum jaanibat Tooril aimana wa nazzalnaa 'alaikumul Manna was Salwaa

Children of Israel, We rescued you from your enemies. We made a pledge with you on the right-hand side of the mountain. We sent down manna and quails for you,

Children of Israel, we delivered you from your enemy, and we made an appointment with you on the right side of the mount, and we sent down to you manna and quails,

Reflection

Address turns without warning at this point. Pharaoh and his armies have been narrated in the third person, and the line swings round to speak straight to the Children of Israel. The appointment is set at jānib al-ṭūr al-ayman, the identical wording 19:52 uses for the spot where Musa was called, so a whole people are summoned to the site of one man's beginning.
