Surah Al-Baqarah — 2:44

۞ أَتَأْمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلْبِرِّ وَتَنسَوْنَ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَتْلُونَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

Ataamuroonan naasa bilbirri wa tansawna anfusakum wa antum tatloonal Kitaab; afalaa ta'qiloon

How can you tell people to do what is right and forget to do it yourselves, even though you recite the Scripture? Have you no sense?

Do you call others to righteousness and forget yourselves, even as you recite the scripture? Will you not use your reason?
