Reflection

Nuzul names what a host sets out for someone on arrival, and surah al-Kahf used that same word five verses earlier for jahannam, made ready for the deniers. Both destinations are announced as hospitality, so the whole difference sits in what gets served. Firdaws appears twice in the whole book, here and at 23:11; lexicographers describe an orchard with a wall around it, and commentators read that enclosure as rank.
