Surah An-Nahl — 16:93

Wa law shaaa'al laahu laja'alakum ummmatanw waahidatanw wa laakiny yudillu many-yashaaa'u wa yahdee many-yashaaa'; wa latus'alunna 'ammaa kuntum ta'maloon

If God so willed, He would have made you all one people, but He leaves to stray whoever He will and guides whoever He will. You will be questioned about your deeds.

Had God willed, he would have made you one community, but he lets stray whom he wills and guides whom he wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do.
