Surah Al-Ma'un — الماعون

Chapter 107 of the Qur'an · “The Small kindnesses” · 7 verses · revealed in Makkah

107:1 أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ [Prophet], have you considered the person who denies the Judgement?
107:2 فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ It is he who pushes aside the orphan
107:3 وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ and does not urge others to feed the needy.
107:4 فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ So woe to those who pray
107:5 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ but are heedless of their prayer;
107:6 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ those who are all show
107:7 وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ and forbid common kindnesses.
