بِئْسَمَا اشْتَرَوْا بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ أَن يَكْفُرُوا بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ بَغْيًا أَن يُنَزِّلَ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ۖ فَبَاءُوا بِغَضَبٍ عَلَىٰ غَضَبٍ ۚ وَلِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ
Bi'samashtaraw bihee anfusahum any yakfuroo bimaaa anzalal laahu baghyan any yunazzilal laahu min fadlihee 'alaa many yashaaa'u min 'ibaadih; fabaaa'oo bighadabin 'alaa ghadab; wa lilkaafireena 'azaabum muheen
Wretched is the price for which they sold themselves — denying what God has sent down, resentful that God would bestow his grace upon whichever of his servants he wills. So they drew upon themselves wrath upon wrath. And for those who deny, there is a humiliating punishment.
